Mission
HCSC will promote the development and sustainability of the Hebrew charter school movement by supporting a network of excellent schools that serve diverse populations of students, foster strong inter-personal relationships, advance overall academic and social/emotional well-being, and promote high levels of Hebrew language proficiency and understanding of the Culture and History of Israel and its Immigrant Communities (CHIIC).
HCSC is supported by the Areivim Philanthropic Group, which is a partnership of philanthropists committed to sponsoring new break-through initiatives in Jewish, Hebrew and Israel Education. In 2008, Areivim identified Hebrew language charter schools as representing a tremendous opportunity for furthering Hebrew and Israel education, knowledge and understanding in the public sphere in ways that promote cultural understanding, civic responsibility, and celebration of difference.
