Innovation Grants

To encourage the creativity of classroom teachers and mid-level professionals HCSC offers schools the opportunity to apply for Innovation grants. Innovation Grants support implementation of a new program/idea or for replication and adaptation of a successful existing program/idea. The focus of HCSC’s Innovation Grants is to provide targeted resources to classroom-based innovations that directly impact and help improve curriculum and instruction. Therefore, we envision that teachers will be the originators of these grant applications, while the school will be the official recipient. Expenses should focus on classroom/student-related costs and may include, but are not limited to: purchase of necessary supplies and resources; travel (if off-site travel is required); teacher training/professional development required for successful implementation of innovation (e.g. training in curriculum software, unique curricular materials, etc.).

The resulting curricular units, lesson plans, and new educational approaches or programs developed through Innovation Grants are collected by HCSC and disseminated to the broader network of Hebrew language charter schools.
